Privacy Policy

Racksy is an independent household inventory app developed by Dev4all. In this policy, “we” means Dev4all. This policy covers the current Racksy app, this website, and support conversations. Contact us at [email protected] for privacy questions or requests.

Racksy stores the products and Spaces you create, expiry dates, saved barcodes, product photos, recent searches, reminder preferences, and app settings locally. Optional profile information—including your name, email, avatar, and appearance choices—is also stored locally. A profile is not an online account, and entering an email does not subscribe you to anything.

These details let Racksy organize your inventory, display product information, personalize the app, and schedule reminders. Your inventory and photos are not automatically uploaded to a Dev4all server. Do not use Racksy to store passwords, payment information, or sensitive medical records.

Camera access lets you take a product photo. The system photo picker lets you select a photo to save with an item. Notification permission lets your device show expiry reminders; these are scheduled locally. Reminder text may appear on your lock screen depending on your device settings.

The optional logo puzzle can use device motion to respond to tilting while it is open. Motion readings are used for the visual effect, not uploaded as analytics. You can decline or revoke permissions in device settings; the features that need them may stop working.

Support: if you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. The app also offers WhatsApp feedback. If you choose that route, WhatsApp processes the message and account information under its own terms. Optional app version, device/OS information, and a contact email are included in app feedback only when selected. Review the message before sending, and leave out private inventory or photographs you do not want to share.

External content: some saved product records may contain online product images or source links. Loading an online image or opening its source connects to the provider, which can receive your IP address and request information. Relevant product sources include Open Food Facts, Open Beauty Facts, and Open Pet Food Facts. Your full inventory is not sent with an image request. Online product lookup is not offered in the public release; we will update this policy before enabling it.

Device services: the Android build permits operating-system backup. Depending on your device and backup settings, the operating system may back up or transfer app data using your device-provider account. This is separate from Racksy cloud sync, which is not currently offered.

Racksy does not show sponsored recommendations in the public release. If we introduce them later, they will be visibly labelled “Sponsored” and kept separate from your inventory, expiry status, reminders, and search results. They may highlight related household products or services and may open an external website or app only when you tap the link.

A sponsor or retailer may then process your visit, device data, and any purchase under its own privacy policy and terms. Racksy will not send your name, email, product photos, or full inventory to a sponsor merely to show or open a recommendation. We will not use a child’s data for targeted advertising. If a future recommendation feature needs personal data, cross-app tracking, advertising identifiers, or inventory data beyond this description, we will first provide a clear in-app explanation, obtain any required consent, update this policy and the Play Store Data safety disclosure, and apply the safeguards required for the app’s audience.

Any financial relationship, including affiliate or sponsored links, will be clearly disclosed close to the recommendation. Racksy is not the seller of products bought through an external link and cannot handle the seller’s checkout, delivery, returns, warranty, or customer support.

The website presents Racksy and provides interactive demonstrations. The current site has no signup form, advertising pixels, analytics scripts, or cookies set by its own code. Fonts and images are served with the site. Demo interactions do not save an inventory or send it to us.

This website is hosted through Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process technical connection data needed to deliver, secure, and operate the site, such as IP addresses, requested URLs, timestamps, browser information, and related network data. Cloudflare handles this information according to its applicable privacy and security practices.

Clicking an email or other external link opens that provider; its own privacy practices then apply.

Information you send to support is used to answer your request, troubleshoot problems, and improve Racksy. We do not sell personal information. We do not use your inventory for targeted advertising. The public release does not include advertising or analytics SDKs.

Email, messaging, hosting, product-image, and—if you choose to open one—retailer or sponsor providers may process information needed to deliver their services, including outside your country. Information may also need to be disclosed when required by applicable law. We do not have a server copy of your local inventory to provide to others.

Inventory stays on your device until you remove it. Deleted products and Spaces can be restored from the Bin for seven days, unless you permanently delete the entry sooner. Expired Bin entries are removed when the app processes the Bin; this is not a promise of deletion at an exact minute.

Removing a photo reference or Bin record may leave an unused saved photo file in app storage. Clearing Racksy’s app storage or uninstalling the app removes its local app data. Photos in your own gallery and any device-provider backups are separate and must be managed there.

Support messages are kept while needed to handle the request, follow up, or meet legal obligations. You can ask us to delete them. We will explain any legally required retention when responding to a deletion request.

See Delete your data for practical steps. There is no Racksy account to close, and we cannot remotely recover or erase inventory that exists only on your device.

Racksy is intended for people across age groups, including families. Its core inventory features do not require an online account or contact details. A parent or guardian should help younger users manage permissions, product safety, and any contact with support.

Children should ask a parent or guardian to contact us on their behalf and should not send personal details or photos to support. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact [email protected] so we can address it and remove it where appropriate. Any future online feature that processes children’s personal information will need the safeguards and parental consent required by law before it is offered.

You can edit your local profile and inventory, clear recent searches, switch off reminders, and manage camera and notification permissions on your device. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict information we hold, or raise a concern with your local data-protection authority. Write to [email protected]; we may ask for enough information to verify a request without collecting unnecessary details.

Racksy uses app storage and the protections provided by your operating system. It does not promise separate encryption of every record. Keep your device locked and updated, and protect any backups. No storage or communication system is completely secure.

We will update this page and its revision date when data practices change. Material changes, such as adding accounts, cloud sync, analytics, online lookup, or sponsored recommendations, will be explained before they apply, with consent where required.
